About Chengdu


Chengdu, also known as "Jinguancheng", is one of China’s national central cities located in the Sichuan Basin. It is the capital of Sichuan province, playing crucial role in southwest China logistics, commerce, finance, science and technology development. The city is also a cultural and educational center and transportation and communications hub.

As one of the oldest national historical and cultural cities, Chengdu has always been known as the "Land of Abundance ", it is one of the earliest and longest sustained Chinese cities, which was established in 316 BC (more than 2300 years ago) . According to the Chengdu region Jinsha Ruins archaeological sites, Chengdu was already a highly developed urban settlement more than 3200 years ago. It is not only a collection of historic and cultural landscape, magnificent and beautiful natural scenery, but also famous for its beautiful and delicious local food.
